White-faced Darter - Fenn's and Whixall Moss

Went last weekend - saw a few but nothing that could be photographed. Had better luck today. Also plenty of Four-spotted Chasers and Large Red Damselflies.

Great shots. I'm overdue for another visit to Whixall Moss.

A_T, rather than start a separate thread on this subject, I hope you don't mind me adding to yours.

I spent last week in Shropshire hoping to photograph White-faced Darters, but the holiday was plagued by constant strong wind and almost non-stop rain. However, we did get out a couple of times and managed a few shots of the darters (none showing the white face unfortunately), and I also got a shot of the Large Heath butterfly, both were new species to us, so glad we managed to get something. The shots that I did get are on my website shown below, but here is one to be going on with.
Super little dragons, especially when seen up close.

Very nice. Might get there soon, with naturalist Les Colley (if anyone knows him?)
